Reunited

I found this H&M sweater in a random closet at my Mother’s house.  It was a Eureka moment!  How could I have let it sit for four years in bag on the floor of a closet?  Do you ever have those moments where a piece of clothing is discovered after years of hiding?.  It closely compares to a great vintage find.  Since my rediscovery last week, I have worn this sweater way too many times (laundry!)  We have reunited… and it feels so good.

Shade of Grey

My fall ’10 shopping expeditions have me on the hunt for comfy staples that are wearable in all walks of life.  All walks of life minus Saturday night dance parties of course.  At LouLou Magazine’s shopping event, I picked up a few items that are going to get me through the winter in style.  Julie and I were both equally excited over these Joe Fresh grey sweater leggings that we purchased for $24.  I built the outfit around the leggings with a light grey H&M cardigan and a pink silk tunic from Joe Fresh.  The H&M necklace and silver Abercrombie &Fitch belt pulls it together for a more polished look.  This green bag will be another staple for me this winter.  Since its purchase, I have received tons of compliments on it and it was just $24 from Joe Fresh.  Booties are from H&M for $10.  CM

First Fall

While Tuesday marked the first day of school for many students, for me, it was the first day of layering.  How is it that Labour Day passes and instantly chilly nights and cool mornings set in?  I had to layer my $35 Gap dress for my journey to and from work with my Club Monaco leather jacket and $13 H&M scarf.  Boots are from Winners for $40 and tights are Hue from The Bay.  CM
