Vines In Vineland

I was in a wedding party this past weekend and the rehearsal dinner was held at a beautiful winery called StoneyRidge Estate Winery in Vineland Ontario.  If you haven’t done a wine tour of the Niagara Region yet, I strongly recommend it.  Niagara-on-the-Lake is simply beautiful and there are so many wineries in the surrounding area it’s hard to keep track of them all.  One of my favourite parts of Niagara this time of year are the fruit stands you find on the road.  Ontario peaches are so perfect right now I can eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Now that’s what I call a fruit!  Anyway, I wore my BOSS Orange nautical inspired dress with my BOSS Black red patent shoes.  These two items were purchased at a special sample sale and I can tell they are going to be good staples in my closet for a long time.  They’re not trendy or classic, but just all around good pieces.  The dress was $90 (regular $695) and my shoes were $65 (regular a lot more).  My grandfather’s stylish shades worked well with this look – thanks Gram-pa-pa.  JD

Little Miss Brightside

It’s amazing how an outfit can make you feel a certain way. If you’re tired of feeling drab in the same old – bust out some new colours! It will make a world of difference. This is my Boss Orange skirt that I got at a sample sale ($40). The material is like a parachute and I found it tricky to find a good top for it at first, but this one from FCUK is a pretty good compliment. It’s on sale now for $39. I paired it with a chunky black belt and comfortable peep toe heels from Feet First. A lot of people think these shoes are vintage and that’s why I like them! JD
