Tuesday night I headed to Brassai for the Alice in Wonderland themed party launching Beefeater 24‘s tea infused gin. Beefeater’s new gin, steeped in Japanese Sencha and Chinese Green tea, is surprisingly refreshing. It was mixed in five different cocktails for the evening – three was enough to get me hooked. We ordered the English Breakfast tea as we liked the packing; served in clear, modern tea cups, but when we saw the bartender crack an egg over the martini glass we were skeptical. Turns out the raw egg white was the marmalade listed in the ingredients. Didn’t matter though – the English Breakfast was the best drink served that evening. In the end, it was a great event and a the best way to pass a Tuesday night in the city. CM
