Chocolate Covered Brussels

Belgium is best known for its chocolate, so it was natural that we spent a few hours in the Grand Sablon neighbourhood in Brussels where all the finest chocolate shops are found.  We visited Pierre Marcolini, Whitamer, Godiva, Leonidas, and Neuhaus to name a few.  Luckily I didn’t drop my delicous truffle over my new cream top.  I found this top at a vintage store in Gent for 4 euro!  I paired it with my Rich & Skinny dark jeans, gold necklace from Aldo Accessories, and my straw fedora from Joe Fresh ($10).  I think I have been eating too much chocolate on this trip, but when in Rome right? JD

Golden Girls

I spotted these two adorable old women in Brussels the other day and had to snap a photo.  I have been doing much of the same – sitting outside, drinking raspberry beer, getting into long-winded chats with a dear friend (minus the smoking).  Good friends are ridiculously priceless. JD

European Extravaganza

Later today I’ll be jetting off to the continent I love most – Europa! I’ll be visiting friends in Amsterdam, Belgium – more specifically – Gent, Antwerp, Brussels, and then Paris! I’m so excited I can’t even think straight. I have the jitters like you would not believe. I get that way before trips. Christine will be holding the fort, but I will do my best to keep blogging about my budget adventures and outfits while I’m away so stay tuned…Bon Voyage mes amis! JD xx
