Last Saturday night the infamous 90’s rock band Hole was in town, headed by the even more infamous Courtney Love. I went out with five blonde girlfriends (it just turned out that way) to catch a glimpse of our favourite blonde rocker. The experience was 100% nostalgic for all of us. I overheard girls at the concert arguing over who loved Love more. “I read her books, and I’ve seen all her movies and have even read Cobain’s biography!”. Well guess what? Me too and probably everyone else there! I was quite impressed with Love’s performance; she played all of the classics that we we’re dying to hear she hit them all dead on the nail. There were a few covers, but these left something to be desired and would have been better if they were left out completely and Gold Dust Woman played. Seriously – no Gold Dust Woman! The crowd was amazing and everyone there was rocking out/awestruck/screaming to Love. Half of the time my friends and I just laughed as we sung along to lyrics we’ve known by heart since the age of 12. “I’m the one with no soul. What about that one below?!” Umm yeah, we sang that in our parent’s basements in grade 7. I took a short video and as you know I am not a videographer, but I just wanted to get the crowds reaction so that you can have a laugh too. :P CM
