If you’re like us, you find The Beer Store a bit intimidating and tend to purchase brewskies at the LCBO instead. I especially don’t like The Beer Store at Queen & Bathurst with all the crazies hanging around. Although it does provide some good entertainment. I’ve seen many take downs at that corner.
But The Beer Store has re-branded itself with a new retail space called The Beer Boutique. We attended the launch of their first location in Liberty Village and we were quite impressed. It’s a good looking store that appeals to a whole other market of beer drinkers like women, city dwellers, and people who appreciate a unique shopping experience.
The store offers a vast selection of beer products as well as regular tasting and pairing events where you can discover new brands and food that taste great with them. It’s also self-serve so you can take your time to browse vs. lining up behind burly men ordering multiple cases of 2/4s for a hunting trip.
The store is now open for business, check it out at 120 Lynn-Williams St. in Liberty Village. JD
